Newhouse Leads the Fourth Day of the World Poker Tour LA Classic
The third day of the World Poker Tour LA Classic Main Event started with 186 participants. However, at the end of the day, there were only 72 players remained and had a chance for the win.
Entering the fourth day of the tour, Mark Newhouse possessed the most number of chips. He will have a chance to take his second WPT title if he could take hold of his position until the end. During the fourth day, Newhouse played well ending the day with 498,000 however there were other four players who possess more than 400,000 chips Chris Moore, Masa Kagawa, John Cautela, and Shawn Pilot.
The prize for the first-place in the World Poker Tour LA Classic Main Event is $1.7 million and the five will be joined by Vanessa Rousso, Erica Schoenberg, Hoyt Corkins, Daniel Negreanu, Annie Duke, Carlos Mortensen, Johnny Chan, Prahlad Friedman, and Vivek Rajkumar on the fourth day for the chance to win the prize.
Howard Lederer, Jennifer Tilly, Barry Greenstein, and Paul Wasicka were among the players who joined but unfortunately were eliminated and were not able to compete on the fourth day.
“Bubble Boy” was the title given to Thomas Fuller when he was eliminated and took the 73rd place. His elimination guaranteed a $18,595 for the remaining participants.
