The Early Retirement
Poker is not for a lifetime for “Timex”.
Full Tilt Poker Mike “Timex” McDonald has gain a total of $2,627,136 from his poker career. Mike McDonald or known as “Timex” seems to acquire all the wealth that he needs. Noted for winning at the EPT’s 2008 German Open and recently scored $417,610; finishing as third place at that franchise’s Deauville stop, it was proclaimed in his CardRunner blog, that he is going to back off from the poker’s table.
“I feel like in some ways poker has become and escape for me; an opportunity to let time pass and just get through to the next day and justify it by saying “this is the most valuable use of my time” and I don’t much like the idea of that”; I won’t be earning a significant amount of money in the next few years and beyond that even if I were to say bink the WSOP main, the money itself would probably do almost nothing to change my future.”
An impressing remark from 20-year-old, McDonald says that he is going to go for a University. Applying the gained experience as retiree would be; enhance his abilities and be more productive.
Allegedly, popular online pro Shaun Deeb, have gone through the same decision few months ago but never seems to live to rest for the table. It was cleared by McDonald, that he is going to the next two EPT stops, no choice for the young poker master because trips have been scheduled before he come to realize everything.
