UB.com’s Annie Duke and four other witnesses: Ed Williams, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Discovery Federal Credit Union, Tom Malkasian, Vice Chairman and Director of Strategic Planning at Commerce Casino, Mohegan Tribe’s Lynn Malerba and Michael Fagan, a law enforcement and anti-terrorism consultant. Before the House Financial Services Committee they testified on Internet gambling. The hearing is considered to a preliminary stride leading to a mark-up of HR 2267, The Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act.

Duke convincingly summarizes her testimony by saying, “I suspect that some on this committee support freedom, apart from where individuals would use that freedom to make what they [committee members] believe to be bad choices. ‘Freedom to make good choices’ is an Orwellian term for tyranny; the governments of China, Cuba and Iran all support the freedom of their citizens to make choices that their governments perceive as good.” She ends by saying, “though you might feel about gambling on the Internet, I would suggest that gambling with freedom is far more risky.”

Hellmuth may have sensed the high temperature earlier this week from Phil Ivey, who said he’s aiming for 30 bracelets after taking down his eighth in a $3,000 HORSE event. Hellmuth retorted with a deep run in Event #41, sending off Cody Culp in 17th place. Hellmuth made flop top set, which held for the win.

Twitter was on fire last Wednesday with Hellmuth giving updates on his advancement during the second day of play in the Omaha High-Low Split event. Perhaps teasingly, he called his shot entering Wednesday’s action: “Ended Day One of Omaha 8/b with $31,600… another Day Two, but this feels different to me, maybe a cash, maybe a final table, maybe more…” Then, word of a Hellmuth prospecting in the top 100 spread like wildfire around the internet. Hellmuth’s final tweet came just before 3:00am PT on Thursday morning after play had ended for the day: “15 left in Omaha 8/b, and I am 4th in chips w $331,000, blinds will be 6k-12k the next day.”

Full Tilt Poker Red Pro Jose-Luis Velador has just grabbed a second career WSOP bracelet, after winning Event 33: $2,500 pot-limit hold’em/Omaha.

Velador crushed a field of 482 players to pick up the first place prize worth $260,517 and further strengthen his position at the top of the Mexico All-Time Money List. He got his first WSOP bracelet back in 2008 at the $1.5K No-Limit Hold ‘em event, but knew he had a rough time ahead if he was to do again his success at this year’s competition.

Seated at the $2,500 pot-limit hold’em/Omaha final table was an alarming line-up of pros, which included Rob Hollink, Craig Gray, Kevin MacPhee, David Chiu, Gavin Cochrane, Victor Ramdin, James Mitchell, and Matt Sterling.

After Craig Gray was removed in 4th ($85,030), the three remaining finalists had a total of six career WSOP bracelets among them and after Jose-Luis Velador took Rob Hollink out in 3rd ($116,359), he then faced the dreadful challenge of taking on 4 times WSOP winner David Chiu in a heads-up battle for crucial poker glory.

Putting up awareness in the poker society, PartyGaming, which is currently the author of the online poker room Party Poker previously, claimed a Kudos for the social responsibility. The said endorsement was formulated by the different organizations in the gaming industry.

The membership of the PartyGaming was attached in the FTSE4Good Index., at the same time the Gold Award that was given to them by Gambling Research, Education and Treatment (GREaT) Foundation. Certifying the PartyGaming for its sixth productive year was a fourth organization known as GameCare.

Being a social network that encourages a lot of poker players, it is their duty to study the social responsibilities that can be useful in the online world.

For players, they are now secured as they join the said online poker room. It is good for some gaming companies to let the public know about their advocacy regarding with their obligations. More players will be encouraged to play in a certain online poker room if they see some accomplishments. Of course! They also want to be assured with the gaming site, because the future of their game varies on how the company takes care of its users.

They still and forever and even improve the full range of game offerings at every level; from the minutest micro stakes to the heftiest high stakes tables you will see action all day. The graphics are considerably great at UB Poker also.

The biggest raison d’être to choose UB Poker as your primary poker site is the fact that they accept US players. US Players can also use our Ultimate Bet Referral Code.

The most significant advantage UB Poker has is their endorsement of the world’s best poker player, Phil Hellmuth and he plays exclusively with UB. Last but not least is a must-mention, the exclusive Tournaments and Ultimate Bet Freerolls and UB Referral Code that never expires.
