Predictions at NBC Heads-Up Poker Championship

Any poker event or tournament is being taken seriously by PokerNews. In the upcoming NBC Heads-Up Championship, the following are their predictions. According to Donnie Peters prediction, the Best Poker Performance by a celebrity will go to Don Cheadle while the Best Poker Performance by a former WSOP Main Event winner will be Huck Seed.

The Dream Television Table Match-Up between Darvin Moon and Jennifer Tilly will possibly be the worst poker match and the Phil Hellmuth will suffer the worst beat because every beat he takes is the worst beat. Jason Mercier and Brock Parker will be the best first time performance while Howard Lederer unfortunately will have the biggest disappointment because he just stands no chance of playing poker anymore.

On the other hand, according to Matthew Parvis prediction, the player who will be the best Poker Performance by a celebrity will be Kara Scott. The best poker performance by a former WSOP Main Event winner for Parvis is Jerry Yang. The match of Tom Dwan vs. Patrick Antonius will be the dream televised Table Match-Up. Joe Cada will suffer the worst beat and the best first time performance will be JP Kelly. The Top Ten Poker Players

The March version of “The Nuts” where it ranks the top ten poker player in the world was released by ESPN.com. Not only that it ranks the best living players but also determines who is playing the best poker as of the moment. In ranking, all the variations of poker has been considered whether it is live or online tournament and cash games. One of the members of the voting panel is Dan Cypra from Poker News daily. Dan is accompanied by Gary Wise, Andrew Feldman, and Bernard Lee a columnist of Poker News Daily.

The Editor-In-Chief of Bluff Magazine Lance Bradley is also one of the members together with senior writer Jessica Welman, another Editor-In-Chief from PokerNews Metthew Parvis, tournament reporter Don Peters and PokerRoad’s Court Harrrington.

For the four months that “The Nuts” is ranking poker players, one name is at the top of the list. Phil Ivey is the man when it comes the game of poker. Even if he did not have live poker tournament success last February, his cash game prowess is still standing out. Ivey gets credit because the evaluation is not limited in only one month. Outstanding results in months were considered in making the vote.

Newhouse Leads the Fourth Day of the World Poker Tour LA Classic

The third day of the World Poker Tour LA Classic Main Event started with 186 participants. However, at the end of the day, there were only 72 players remained and had a chance for the win.

Entering the fourth day of the tour, Mark Newhouse possessed the most number of chips. He will have a chance to take his second WPT title if he could take hold of his position until the end. During the fourth day, Newhouse played well ending the day with 498,000 however there were other four players who possess more than 400,000 chips Chris Moore, Masa Kagawa, John Cautela, and Shawn Pilot.
The prize for the first-place in the World Poker Tour LA Classic Main Event is $1.7 million and the five will be joined by Vanessa Rousso, Erica Schoenberg, Hoyt Corkins, Daniel Negreanu, Annie Duke, Carlos Mortensen, Johnny Chan, Prahlad Friedman, and Vivek Rajkumar on the fourth day for the chance to win the prize.

Howard Lederer, Jennifer Tilly, Barry Greenstein, and Paul Wasicka were among the players who joined but unfortunately were eliminated and were not able to compete on the fourth day.

“Bubble Boy” was the title given to Thomas Fuller when he was eliminated and took the 73rd place. His elimination guaranteed a $18,595 for the remaining participants.

Titan Poker Appeared in the Movie “From Paris With Love”

The film that was released last February 5 in the United States featured one of the best online poker site namely Titan Poker. The movie “From Paris With Love” was produced by a French director where his production company chooses Titan Poker to be the online poker room to be featured in the film.

Titan Poker will still launch another promotion on February 1st know as the Land Man Standing. This is another way of the online poker room to give rewards to their loyal players in the site with cash and a package for the WSOP Main Event as the grand prize.
