QJ with Top Pair

There can be some rough decisions to make when you have specific hands in poker. One of them is when you get dealt QJ (one of the most misleading hands in poker). Queen Jack can manage to pull in some monsters here and there, but for the most part it really isn’t a great hand. If you can catch a straight, a full house or maybe 2 pair then you could make money off of it but anything else is usually just trouble. It is good for the other players, but not the one with QJ.

Hitting top pair with QJ can be a very tough place to be in. It is the one reason why a lot of players have no problem folding QJ. It is the most likely hand to make with QJ and it can cause a lot of problems. What normally will happen is that you will end up hitting top pair and getting out kicked by AQ, KQ, AJ or KJ, and there truly is no worse way to lose a pot.

If you hit a pair of jacks or queens (top pair) you will have to worry about whether or not you have the best kicker. Even if you do have the best kicker, who is to say a pair will be enough to win the hand? A pair is not that great of a hand even if it is the high pair on the board. There is a lot that can beat you when you have top pair.

You should always be putting your opponents on a range of hands. If you do not put them on high cards and you hit top pair with QJ then there is a good chance you will have the best hand. Queen Jack is a good hand to have when there is not a lot of action before the flop. It is more like and upper grade marginal hand in poker. If you can hit top pair with not a lot of action before the flop there is a good chance that it is good.

If there is a lot of action and raising before the flop then QJ is a bad hand to have, and if you are in and hit top pair you are probably beat pretty bad. That s why it is best to just fold QJ before the flop if there is a lot of raising going on. It is all about what you put your opponents on when it comes to deciding if your top pair is good or not with Queen Jack.

Mistakes In Poker: Entitlement

The sense of entitlement has been a wonder for a long time. Do people really obtain what they are worthy of? If we do the correct actions are we going to achieve an incentive for it? Do our bad actions stay unpunished? In a world of idealism, you will gain what you deserved. But now, it seems like things have gone awry, we get what we’re not supposed to get.

When you give back a wallet full of money it is given that you’ll think that you might get a reward for your honesty. But oftentimes, the only thing that you’ll get is a simple thank your from the indebted owner.
